PLEASE GPS in BACKGROUND!!!!!!!

I need this app for Geotagging with a Lumix ZS50. I don’t shoot remotely, this is a point and shoot and I am using this app as a workaround for the lack of GPS in the camera. The support notes fine print says that location tracking stops if you hit the home or close buttons. I am willing to accept a little battery hit for this thing to be active in the background—to protect some users, you could add an option to allow this with the caveat that phone battery life is going to deplete rapidly. But, this is a consequence of the lazy choice of camera vendors, to outsource location tracking to phone apps instead of including the functionality into the phone. what’s worse, running out of iPhone battery, or running out of camera battery (which can be mitigated with spare batteries)?

So TL;DR version - this app is adequate, I only use it for adding GPS to my photos, but be aware that it only functions when open. I do not know if it keeps working once the phone screen turns off.

But be aware, even if you mess up (like I did on a recent trip), you still generally get in the ballpark if you’re running this app once or twice a day. but as it is, it is suboptimal. Seems to work ok in iOS9 also.
